    Good morning everyone 💙❤️

Imagine reading a book with no chance to go back to the previous page.
    You would read very carefully.

    Projects are similar.

Small decisions, timing, words, and daily choices matter.
Not everything can be fixed later, but many issues can be avoided with awareness and good judgment.

As project managers, our role is to stay focused, make thoughtful decisions, and keep moving forward.

    Have a great day

            Good morning everyone 💙❤️

At work and in life, motivation goes up and down, but what really keeps us moving is commitment.

You may start the week very motivated, then the energy drops, excuses appear, and delays happen. That’s normal.

What’s not helpful is waiting to feel motivated every time before taking action.

            The real difference comes from:

            • Clear habits

            • A simple system

            • Daily commitment, even on days with low energy

Motivation feels good at the start, but commitment is what brings results.

Wishing everyone a great start to the week 😊

              Lovely post, Anis.
Motivation sparks the start, but commitment is what carries us through; especially on the low-energy days. Simple habits and showing up consistently really do make the difference. Great reminder to start the week

              • An effective manager is a role model – but this is easier said than done, and in some cases, you must challenge the status quo to create change. It’s about inspiring, motivating, and creating new thinking. To do that, you need to be able to plan methodically, communicate well, and identify, motivate and reward effective behaviours in others.

You can only be a good manager with good planning skills, and that planning is likely to centre on objectives. Project Leader at British Telecom,01 Feb 2026 at 01:59 pm

Stepping into 2026, I’m seeing a clear shift in how project management is evolving — not just in tools or methodologies, but in expectations.
Today, PMs are expected to deliver outcomes while also navigating transformation, coaching teams, supporting emotional dynamics, and managing cross‑functional complexity. It’s a challenging balance, but also an exciting time for the profession.

In the past few months, I’ve observed a few themes across major projects:

🔹 AI is accelerating delivery, but it’s also raising the bar for PMs to focus more on decision‑making, stakeholder alignment, and risk anticipation.
🔹 Cross‑functional collaboration is no longer optional — telecommunications, cloud, cybersecurity, and business teams are more intertwined than ever.
🔹 Leadership expectations are shifting from task-based management to influence, adaptability, and conflict navigation.
🔹 Project environments are becoming more global, requiring PMs to be culturally aware, time‑zone fluent,…

Such a great reflection, Dr. Suman. I really agree with the shift you’re describing; especially how AI is pushing PMs away from task execution and more into decision-making, judgment, and stakeholder alignment.
The emphasis on influence, emotional dynamics, and cross-functional leadership feels very real in day-to-day project work. Exciting, but definitely raises the bar for our skill set going into 2026.

Well said, Blanca. I agree — as AI takes care of more execution, the real differentiator for PMs is judgment, influence, and how well we navigate people and complexity. It definitely raises the bar, but it also elevates the profession in a meaningful way going into 2026.

Quantum Computing: The Next Technological Wave After AI

As artificial intelligence continues to transform industries at scale, another powerful technology is accelerating toward mainstream adoption: quantum computing. Once limited to research labs, quantum systems are now advancing rapidly toward practical, real‑world use.

Recent assessments show that quantum computing is shifting from theoretical potential to practical products. Hardware is becoming more stable, with industry focusing on improving coherence, error reduction, and full‑stack integration rather than simply increasing qubit counts. This marks a significant transition from the early NISQ (noisy intermediate-scale quantum) era toward more reliable architectures.

By 2026, quantum technology is expected to reach wider commercial adoption, driven by real industry use cases. Sectors such as finance, healthcare, logistics, and scientific research are already leveraging quantum tools to accelerate simulations, optimize…

Risk Management Fails When It Becomes a Checkbox

Risks that matter are talked about often, not just logged once and forgotten.
If risks aren’t influencing decisions, they’re not being managed.

Couldn’t agree more, there can be several registers, checkboxes or frameworks to measure and evaluate risks. However, if no strategy or actions are developed, all of those tools remain superfluous.

bsolutely — risk management fails the moment it becomes a checkbox exercise. Real risks are the ones that stay in conversation, shape decisions, and drive proactive action. If risks aren’t influencing choices, they’re not being managed — they’re just documented and forgotten.

Getting Ready for the Certified PM Diploma Exam — Any Tips?

I’m approaching the final stretch of the Certified Project Management Diploma, and the exam is coming up soon. It’s been a great journey so far — lots of learning, lots of reflection, and plenty of “aha” moments along the way.

Now I’m shifting into exam‑prep mode, and I’d love to tap into the experience of those who’ve already been through it.

What helped you the most when preparing for the Certified PM Diploma exam? Study habits, focus areas, mindset tips — anything you found valuable.

Always appreciate the wisdom of those a few steps ahead.

Effective project management isn’t just about timelines and reports—it’s about turning strategy into measurable outcomes. Strong PMOs combine discipline, data-driven decisions, and clear execution to ensure projects deliver real impact.

Timelines and reports are important, but they’re just tools. What actually matters is whether the project delivers something meaningful for the business. Turning strategy into measurable outcomes is where project management really proves its value.
