As a new volunteer, I find this idea very relevant not only to investing, but also to project management.
Risk is part of every project
Just like investment, there is no project without risk. Trying to avoid all risks often means avoiding action, learning, or impact.Risk management means understanding, not fearing
Good project teams don’t ignore risks. They identify them early, understand possible impacts, and define limits. This reduces surprises and builds confidence.Diversification reduces damage
In projects, this can mean not relying on one person, one tool, or one solution. If one part fails, the whole project does not collapse.Long-term thinking reduces instability
Short-term issues are normal. With a long-term vision, teams can handle changes and keep moving forward.Discipline matters more than predictions
We can’t predict everything, but following a clear plan and managing resources wisely…
Aulia2 Comments1 LikeReally nice perspective here. Risk is unavoidable in projects, but how we approach it makes all the difference. Your points around diversification and early identification resonate strongly – it would be great to hear how others here apply this in their own projects. Thank you for sharing, Anis.
Thank you, Aulia, I really appreciate your kind feedback. I agree risk is part of every project, and sharing practical ways to manage it early can make a big difference. I’m also curious to learn how others here handle diversification and risk in their projects.

Project Manager, Skills Coach at Knowledge brief/ APM fellow and Ambassador,27 Jan 2026 at 10:17 amIs AI the next big risk rathe than the next big tool? the tec to produce one is being over taken buy the quantum system that will build them and most of us are already behind in our understanding of how either works . so does this not present a risk

AI is often framed as the next big tool, but it also represents a significant emerging risk. The rapid evolution of technology—especially with quantum computing on the horizon—is accelerating capabilities faster than most organizations and individuals can fully understand or control. The tools to build AI are evolving into systems that may operate beyond conventional oversight, and many are already behind in grasping the implications of either AI or quantum technologies. This gap in understanding, combined with the speed of innovation, creates real risks around ethics, security, decision-making, and governance. It’s not just about leveraging AI as a tool—it’s about managing it responsibly to prevent unintended consequences before they happen.
