Founder & CEO at Agesta AI,22 Apr 2026 at 11:39 amOne shift separates top performers from everyone else.
That was the core message of my talk at Nomads of Digital Era last Saturday — held at the University of International Business (UIB) — where I spoke about how professionals in any field or industry can achieve much stronger results when they combine modern methodologies, practices, and emerging technologies, including agentic AI, in the way they work.
Thank you to the Toastmasters International team for organizing the event at UIB, and to PMI Kazakhstan Chapter for the invitation to speak.
Strong international lineup, sharp audience, honest questions. Great to connect with fellow professionals, exchange experience, and share insights.
I unpacked this thesis in much more depth in a long-form article I published yesterday — covering the data, the three levels of AI adoption, and what the top 1% actually do differently. Link in comments.
Grateful for the recognition and the conversations that followed.

That’s the share of professionals who use AI in a way that produces dramatically better results.
The other 99% are watching.
I spent 3 weeks researching why — across 45+ sources from PMI, PwC, McKinsey, BCG, Stanford, NBER, and Science journal.
My findings in the article below.

Project Manager at Institute of Project Managment,20 Apr 2026 at 06:03 pmStarting a new chapter in Project Management
I’m currently transitioning into Project Management, coming from a background in residential design where I managed projects from concept to installation.
Through this experience, I’ve realised that beyond planning and tools, the real challenge often lies in communication, stakeholder alignment, and problem-solving in real time.
I’m now focused on developing my skills further, especially around structured project delivery, process improvement, and Agile practices.
Looking forward to learning, exchanging ideas, and connecting with professionals in this space.

That’s how many project managers the world will be short of by 2035.
PMI first flagged the talent gap in 2017. The number was 22M then. By 2021 it grew to 25M.
Every wave of approaches since – mass hiring, certification booms, agile transformation – slowed it down. Did not stop it.
The math on hiring your way out of this doesn’t work.
Right now there are 40M PMs in the world. By 2035 the demand is 65M. It’s a systemic challenge.
And it hits some industries harder than others – IT, Finance, Construction are looking at 47-66% demand growth over the next decade.
Swipe through – 10 cards on where the gap is widest, which industries and regions are most exposed, and why the traditional playbook keeps failing.

1 LikeReally insightful post, Igor – the way you’ve laid out the progression of the gap over time makes it very clear this is a much bigger, systemic challenge. The breakdown across industries is especially interesting as well. Thank you very much for sharing this.
Great statistical insight Igor. Interesting to see the turn of digital excellence with the introduction of Assistants (80%) and Optimized designing (20%).

13 Apr 2026 at 09:00 amIn project management, your value doesn’t lie in doing everything yourself. It lies in empowering your team to grow, contribute, and lead.
When you delegate:
- You drive skill growth and nurture leadership.
- You free your time to focus on strategy and stakeholder alignment.
- You gain fresh perspectives, spark innovation, and avoid burnout.
High-performing project managers delegate with intention and support their teams with the right resources and clarity.

10 Apr 2026 at 09:00 amAt its core, Agile is about delivering value early and often, collaborating closely with customers, and adapting quickly to change.
Created in 2001 by a group of software developers, the Agile Manifesto was a response to rigid, traditional project management methods that often failed to adapt to change or meet real user needs.
