Chief Strategy & Advisory Officer at Etharien Advisors,27 Dec 2025 at 12:01 pmHello, I’m Muhammad Mohsin Azeem. I work as an Enterprise PMO and C-Suite ePMO Advisor, supporting organisations in governing complex portfolios, programmes, and digital initiatives across government and large enterprise environments. My background spans PMO governance, delivery oversight, and executive advisory, with a strong focus on helping leaders make informed decisions under real delivery constraints. My areas of interest include PMO and ePMO models, portfolio governance, complexity-aware delivery, and the responsible adoption of AI within project and programme environments. I am particularly interested in how judgement, context, and governance need to evolve as AI becomes more embedded in decision-making across PMO and P3M practices. I value practical discussions grounded in experience and look forward to learning from, and contributing to, this professional community.

Agentic AI vs AI Agents in Project Managementinstituteprojectmanagement.com0 LikeChoosing between a centralised and decentralised organisational structure depends on factors like company size, complexity, the need for control, and the speed of decision-making.
Centralised structures offer consistency and efficiency, making them ideal for smaller or highly regulated organisations. In contrast, decentralised structures provide flexibility and faster local responses, better suited for large, dynamic, or geographically dispersed teams. The decision also hinges on staff expertise, technology, and whether the focus is on cost-saving or local adaptability.
A guiding question project managers can ask themselves when deciding on structures is, “Do we need more control and consistency, or more flexibility and responsiveness?”
