I am in the works of becoming a professional project manager with a focus on art, architecture, and design. My background combines hands-on experience in construction, exhibit production, and design coordination with formal training in project management. I’ve worked across diverse roles—from supervising safety on job sites to leading purchasing and logistics for large-scale restoration projects. Currently pursuing a B.S. in Project Management at Colorado State University Global, I’m passionate about integrating creative disciplines with structured project execution. My academic work and professional projects have centered around the intersection of visual design and built environments. Some topics of interest for me are women in construction and design leadership, art and architecture in project design, construction safety and logistics, sustainability in architecture and design, creative direction and digital sketching, CAD and AutoCAD integration in project workflows, and… Read more

Hi Eleese, it’s really great to have you here. The way you’re weaving together your creative background with formal project management training is inspiring – especially how you’re grounding it in real-world experience across construction and design. It’s such a rich mix, and I think your voice will add something really special to the conversations here. I’d love to hear more about your thoughts on sustainability and design leadership, especially from your perspective as someone actively bridging those worlds. Looking forward to learning alongside you!

I have been in the business for nearly 30 years now, and whilst i have worked in different industries this has been spread over a long period of time and the skillset needed in these business areas are pretty much the same, so rather than relying on industry knowledge i adapting the skillset to the environment i am in. Whilst the industies have been different the transformation s and the porblems/opportunities these address have often been the same type of thing (just a slightly different flavor) the hardest part is keeping up with allthe acronyms as they all use the same 3 letters but for different things! The great thing is that it does help me to look at problems with a number of lenses,

Hi Yael, I really appreciate you taking the time to share this. It’s such a refreshing reminder that while industries may differ on the surface (and the acronyms definitely keep us on our toes!), the core of transformation often comes down to how well we can adapt, problem-solve, and bring people along through change. From a community perspective, it’s incredibly valuable to have members like you who can see patterns across sectors and apply their expertise with that level of agility. I love your point about looking at challenges through multiple lenses – it resonates deeply with how we see project leadership evolving. I’m really looking forward to learning more from your reflections and contributions here.
