Andr Barcaui, PhD is a senior consultant with more than 18 years as manager, and more than 10 as a professor and speaker. He had his Doctoral with Universidad Nacional de Rosario (Argentina), and his Masters with Universidade Federal Fluminense (Brazil). He holds both a Psychology as well as an Information Technology degrees. He is the current coordinator of the Project Management MBA for FGV/RJ – Fundao Getlio Vargas (Brazil) and earned his PMP certification in 1999, when working as a co-founder of PMI Chapter Rio de Janeiro. He was the Project Office Manager of Hewlett-Packard Consulting for the Latin America Region and before that worked for IBM as a Project and Services Manager. He also holds Master Coach Certificate by the Behavioral Coaching Institute (BCI) and works as the Executive Director of B&B Brothers, a specialized organization on project management training, consulting and executive coaching. You would read very carefully.Projects are similar.
Small decisions, timing, words, and daily choices matter.
Not everything can be fixed later, but many issues can be avoided with awareness and good judgment.As project managers, our role is to stay focused, make thoughtful decisions, and keep moving forward.

You may start the week very motivated, then the energy drops, excuses appear, and delays happen. That’s normal.
What’s not helpful is waiting to feel motivated every time before taking action.

Daily commitment, even on days with low energy

Today, PMs are expected to deliver outcomes while also navigating transformation, coaching teams, supporting emotional dynamics, and managing cross‑functional complexity. 🔹 AI is accelerating delivery, but it’s also raising the bar for PMs to focus more on decision‑making, stakeholder alignment, and risk anticipation.
